Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods aluminum hitch cargo carrier and how it fits on the back of our 2022 Ram 2500. The carrier is very lightweight, it's only 23lbs, but it's still capable of supporting up to 500lbs. So if you want to get some more storage out of your vehicle, maybe you already have your bed full, maybe you just have some heavier items that you want to not have to lift quite so high. For whatever your reason is, I think this could be a good option for you. The carrier's design features these six slats that run straight across, leaving plenty of room for sand, mud, dirt, ice, snow, things like that to fall through your items you're carrying back here. more

But, there's a lot of cases where maybe you have the bed already full of things, maybe you're transporting some larger items, maybe you have a big box in the back. etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2019 Ram 2500- Video
Hey guys, John here at etrailer.com. Today we have our 2019 Ram 2,500 and we are test fitting the etrailer Aluminum Cargo Basket. This is designed for two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers and it has a 500 pound weight capacity. Now it seems kind of interesting to have a cargo basket on the back of a pickup that has a truck bed for cargo, but in this case, as we can see we have our generator loaded up. So this is great for things like this. Maybe we are going to have wet gear or gear that has mud on it. more

Curt 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2019 Ram 2500- Video
John: Hey guys, John here from etrailer.com. Today we have our 2019 Ram 2500, we are test fitting the CURT folding cargo carrier. This is designed for two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers and it has a 500 pound weight capacity. Now it seems kind of silly to have something like this on a truck that has a bed where you carry cargo, but this is useful for if we have our truck bed already full or we're trying to keep something out of our truck bed. So we have our cooler here. In my experience, these kinds of coolers tend to leak once you have them full of liquid. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Ram 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Ram 2500 we're doing a test fit of the CURT 20 by 48 cargo carrier. That part number is C18110. Now this is designed to work with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches and has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Now although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is very lightweight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. The first thing we're going to do here is take a few measurements, starting off with our ground clearance. To the bottom of our bolt here we're going to have about 25-1/2". Overall to our vehicle we're adding about 28-1/2". more

Today on our 2016 Ram 2500, we're doing a test fit of the MaxxTow 48" x 21" Cargo Carrier. That part number is MT70422. This is designed to work with 2" hitches only. Although it does have a very high weight capacity of 500 lbs., it is very lightweight. It's made out of aluminum, so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. The first thing we're going to do with it installed is take a few measurements. We're going to start off with our ground clearance here. more

Today on our 2012 Ram 2500, we've got out the Maxxtow Cargo Carrier, we're going to do a test fit on it. Now this is a 48 by 21 aluminum cargo carrier. It's been designed for use in 2 inch hitches and has a weight capacity of up to 500 pounds. Part number on it is MT70422. Now the Maxxtow Cargo Carrier as you can see it's got one of the slot style floors in it gives us really good full coverage there. It's going to allow us to support some of the larger items. more

Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Ram 2500- Video
Today on our 2012 Ram 2500 we've got the Stromberg Carlson 23x60 Cargo Carrier out. We're going to do a test fit on it. This cargo carrier has been designed for use in 2 inch hitches and it offers a weight capacity of 500 pounds. Part number on it is CC-100. As you can see we've got a nice, large, expanded steel-type floor. It's smooth, it doesn't have the edges that stick up, so we won't have to worry about damage or anything. That's going to offer a lot of room for dirt and debris, moisture and things like that to fall down and off of our carrier. more

Curt 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Ram 2500- Video
Today on our 2012 Ram 2500, we've got the Curt 24 x 60 Folding Cargo Carrier out. We're going to do a test fit on it and see how it matches up with the vehicle. This is going to have a nice, kind of a medium sized expanded steel floor. Plenty of room for dirt, debris, moisture . Stuff like that to fall down and out. It's not going to build up on top of the carrier and cause any type of corrosion. As you can see, we're going to have a nice raised edge. more

Surco Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Ram 2500- Video
Today on our 2014 Ram 2500, we'll be test fitting the Surco 24 by 60 railed cargo carrier for 2-inch hitches, part number 52018. Now, our vehicle is equipped with a 2-1/2-inch hitch, so we'll be using the Blue Ox Hitch Reducer Sleeve from a 2-1/2-inch to a 2-inch hitch, part number BX88187. Now, I went ahead and inserted the sleeve onto the shank of our cargo carrier to make it easier when installing. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the cargo carrier into the opening of the hitch. We'll then need to line up the pin hole of the sleeve with the pin hole of the shank of the carrier. We'll then continue to slide the sleeve back into the hitch and then line up the pin hole. We'll insert the pin through all 3 of the pin holes and then secure it with a clip on the other side. With the carrier secured, we'll go over a few measurements. We have about 21 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier. more
